Patch strives to share good news, as well as news that hits at home. In 2018, we've shared local community stories that matter to you, including when Novato-based Marin Humane launched a fundraiser for a dog with a heart defect and when Pacific Gas and Electric Company installed a new weather station in Novato. Of course, we always bring you the latest fire and police coverage as well, including the recent Bridge and Irving fires in Marin County.
Got a news tip? I'm Kristina Houck, your local editor. I have been the editor of Novato Patch for almost two years. After earning a degree in journalism and political science from San Diego State University, I started out as a freelancer and substitute editor with Patch back in 2010. I went on to work for local community newspapers before coming back to Patch. Send your tips, ideas and questions my way at kristina.houck@patch.com.
