Police Investigate Shooting Near 7-Eleven Store In Novato
An older model silver Ford Taurus and a white Toyota Camry were seen leaving the area shortly after the incident, according to police.

NOVATO, CA — Police investigated a shooting Tuesday that shut down a stretch of roadway in Novato.
The Novato Police Department received reports of an argument followed by the sound of gunshotsat 10:50 a.m. in the 800 block of Diablo Avenue, near the 7-Eleven store. An older model silver Ford Taurus and a white Toyota Camry were seen leaving the area shortly after the incident, according to police.
"Patrol officers responded to the area where they spoke with witnesses and located evidence of a shooting," police said. "It appears the shooting occurred after a dispute between the occupants of two vehicles."

Officers did not find any victims. The vehicles were last seen heading east on Diablo Avenue toward Highway 101.
Police closed Diablo Avenue between Center Road and South Novato Boulevard while investigating the incident. The road has since been reopened.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to call police at 415-897-4361. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Nixle by texting TIP NOVATO to 888777 and through the department's website at novatopolice.org.
Anyone with a business or a home in the area with surveillance cameras was asked to check for relevant recordings.
