Police Release Videos of Arson Suspect at Chevy Dealership

The video taken from a nearby restaurant shows the perpetrator lighting something on fire and placing it next to cars.

Novato police have released videos of an arson at a car dealership on Monday night and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect who set four cars on fire there.

Police released videos, taken by a camera at a nearby restaurant, that show a suspect lighting something on fire and placing it next to cars at the Novato Chevrolet dealership at 7123 Redwood Blvd. around 11:35 p.m. Monday.

The blaze burned four Chevrolet Volt hybrid vehicles, two of which were destroyed. The estimated loss in the fire is $100,000, Novato police Capt. Jamie Knox said.
