Early-Morning Earthquake Shakes North Bay

The strong earthquake struck just before 5 a.m. Monday — did YOU Feel it?

NORTH BAY, CA — A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck early Monday morning in a remote part of northeast Sonoma County early Monday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey. The quake hit at 4:54 a.m. and was initially recorded as having a magnitude of 4.3, according to the USGS. The epicenter was a 3.7 miles from The Geysers and a few miles away from Cobb Mountain in Lake County, the USGS said.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage from the quake that struck less than a mile deep and about 14.6 miles away from Healdsburg, 18.5 miles away from Windsor, and 26.1 miles from Santa Rosa, the USGS said.

Folks throughout the North Bay and parts of the Bay Area reported experiencing the earthquake, including in Healdsburg, Cloverdale, Lower Lake, Calistoga, Windsor, Middletown, Kelseyville, Geyserville, Santa Rosa, Saint Helena, Napa, Oakland, San Francisco, Mill Valley, Sonoma and Larkspur; did YOU feel it?
