SMART Celebrates 1-Year Anniversary With Free Service, Festival
Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit is celebrating its first year of train service between San Rafael and the Sonoma County Airport.

NOVATO, CA – Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit is celebrating its first year of train service between the Sonoma County Airport and San Rafael with a free SMART Fest Saturday in Novato and free train service Saturday and Sunday between Sonoma and Marin counties.
The SMART Fest takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hamilton station, located at 10 Main Gate Road in Novato. Smash City and The doRiaN Mode will perform music, and food truck vendors will sell Mexican, comfort and Asian food.
BI Buzz, SMART's onboard concessionaire and an enterprise of the nonprofit Becoming Independent, will sell local beer and wine.

A special morning train run has been added between 9:13 and 10:20 a.m. southbound and 10:52 and 11:59 a.m. northbound between the Sonoma County Airport and San Rafael.
SMART parking lots will be free at the Sonoma County Airport, Rohnert Park, Petaluma and Novato San Marin stations. The Novato Hamilton station will be closed during SMART Fest Saturday except for disability
parking. Parking is available near the Hamilton station at 503 Palm Drive.
