Get Free Sub With H2O Donation At Oceanside Firehouse Subs
The upcoming "H2O For Heroes" bottled-water drive benefits local firefighters, first responders & senior centers during summer heat.

OCEANSIDE, CA — Donate a 24-pack of water for local fire crews, first responders and senior centers on Saturday, Aug. 7, and score a free sub sandwich at Firehouse Subs in Oceanside or two locales in San Diego.
The sandwich chain, founded by two former firefighters, is hosting its ninth annual "H2O For Heroes" bottled-water collection drive, a community effort to aid those in need during hot summer months — particularly fire and police departments, emergency victims, senior and community centers.
As thanks for donations, Firehouse Subs will give a free, medium sandwich to customers who bring in an unopened, 24-pack of any brand of bottled water. See details here.

The "H2O For Heroes" effort was canceled in 2020, due to the pandemic. But in 2021, the company said the collection need is even greater as parts of the western U.S. are experiencing unprecedented temperatures, coupled with wildfire season.
The water-drive campaign began in 2012 by Phoenix-area Firehouse Subs franchisees when fires and drastic heat depleted supplies of their local, first responders. The initiative expanded nationwide in 2016, and, since then, more than 4 million bottles of water have been collected for public safety departments, emergency victims and senior and community centers. This year, Coca-Cola also will be donating 5,000 cases of DASANI® water to the cause, the business said.
