Super Girl Surf Pro Returns to Oceanside September 17 - 19
Oceanside is home to the Largest Women's Surf Competition, the Supergirl Pro Jam event. Local Caity Simmers looks to repeat last year's win.

OCEANSIDE, CA — The Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro is back in Oceanside on September 17-19 for its 15th year at the Oceanside Pier. The nationally televised event is the world's largest female surf competition in the world, with more than 80 of the world’s top surfing pros scheduled to compete.
The free 3-Day event features Surf Contests, Celebrity Surf Invitational, 20 Live Concerts, Festival Village, Super Girl Gamer Pro Esports Tournament and more.
The Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro not only serves as the first major all-women’s surf event on the heels of the 2021 Olympics — where surfing debuted as an Olympic sport this summer — it also plays a critical role for surfers looking to solidify their position on the 2022 WSL Women’s World
Championship Tour (WCT).

“We’re thrilled to bring Nissan Super Girl Pro back to Oceanside this year with a full-scale festival and surf contest that’s open to the public,” said Rick Bratman, CEO of ASA Entertainment, the event’s producer. “This event has not only been a showcase for the top-ranked surfers in the world, but it’s also served as a springboard to help launch surf careers and provide unmatched mentorship between pros and newcomers. Being the first event in the US after the Olympics and featuring both of the USA Surf Team members is a thrill.”
Some of the biggest names in surf are expected to compete, including Olympic Gold Medalist Carissa Moore; USA Olympic Team member Caroline Marks; former Super Girl champions Lakey Peterson, Tatiana Weston-Webb, Coco Ho and Sage Erickson; Tia Blanco and Brianna Cope (The Ultimate Surfer TV series); former local champs, Caitlin Simmers (Oceanside) and Samantha Sibley (San Clemente), and more.

The Nissan Concert Series will be headlined by well-known artists such as Sofia Carson, Plain White T’s and Maggie Lindemann.
The event is supported by Nissan, in conjunction with its California Nissan Dealers, the U.S.
Air Force, Jolyn, Paul Mitchell, Legion by Lenovo, Venus, White Claw, the U.S. Marines, the Mission Pacific Hotel, Locals Only Vodka, Frontwave Credit Union and Visit Oceanside.
“Nissan is pleased to continue as title sponsor of the Super Girl Pro Series of events in California,” said Shawn Mirabal, regional vice president, Nissan North America. “By supporting partnerships with the Super Girl Surf and Snow Pro events Nissan has the opportunity to help inspire the next generation of female athletes. We look forward to the upcoming event in Oceanside, California, and celebrating female empowerment, strength and independence through action sports.”
The event will run daily Friday, Sept. 17 through Sunday, Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Access to the surfing, concerts, esports, panels, classes and all elements are free to attend.
The event will be televised throughout November and December on Bally Sports and will be streamed live on September 18 - 19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. via 15 digital partners, including at www.supergirlsufpro.com and twitch.tv/supergirlseries.
