SoCal Amber Alert: Girl, 3, Found; Mother In Custody, CHP Says

UPDATED: Christina Lujan is accused of taking her daughter during a custody visit in Orange County.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA — The California Highway Patrol has deactivated an Amber Alert issued Friday evening for Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside and San Diego counties. The public was asked to be on the lookout for a 2012 gold Ford Escape SUV with California license plate number 6ZPF343.

According to an update at 7:11 p.m. Friday from the CHP, 3-year-old Josephine Lujan has been found and her mother, 39-year-old Christina Lujan, who was considered armed and dangerous, has been taken into custody.

PREVIOUS POST: Lujan and her daughter were last seen at 1:50 p.m. Friday in Garden Grove, CHP officials said.

According to a 6:30 p.m. statement from the Garden Grove Police Department:

"Christina Lujan is a restrained person, with the protected person being her mother (Evelyn) and 3-year-old daughter (Josephine Lujan). Today Christine had a custody visit with her mother and daughter. When grandma Evelyn went inside her house and came back out, she found Christine and Josephine gone."

Christina/Christine Lujan is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and 135 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Josephine Lujan is 3 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 45 pounds. She also has brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and black boots.

Anyone who sees the car and/or the Lujans should immediately call 911, authorities said.
