Alexis Muir Selected Softball Player of the Year
The sophomore pitcher is one of four Palisades High girls on the All-League first team.

Palisades High sophomore has been named Most Valuable Player of the Western League in softball after pitching the Dolphins to the league title and a spot in the City Section Invitational playoffs.
Muir was Palisades' ace, compiling a 9-1 record and batting over .500. Also making the Western League first team were fellow Dolphins , and .
Williams, a freshman shortstop, started all 23 games, batted over .500, and led the Dolphins in batting average, hits, runs, RBIs, and on-base percentage.

Flores, a sophomore center fielder and team captain, was one of Palisades' best fielders. As the lead-off hitter, she paced the squad in walks and was in the top three in most offensive categories.
Cortez, a junior third baseman, earned her second All-League selection after topping the league in home runs and slugging percentage.

Monica Cartwright of Westchester was voted Pitcher of the Year.
Three Palisades sophomores made the Western League second team: second baseman , first baseman and catcher .
Rounding out the first team are Jaleka Galvez, Kathy Vega and Regina Choi of Hamilton; Bernadette Moran, Chase Persinger and Miliana Casillas of Venice; Nitzy Salgado and Michelle Lomeli of University; Imana Goss and Shalonda Woods of Westchester; and Cindy Manzo of Fairfax.
Rounding out the second team are Niaya Jones and Daphenie Aviles of Fairfax; Natiln Godda and Jazmine Kingi of LACES; Aalyah Burns and Kahmone Harris of Hamilton; Leanna De La Paz and Gabriela Robles of Venice; Sharnitra Woods and Veranae Woods of Westchester; and Samantha Coronado of University.
Palisades is seeded 11th in the Invitational draw and travels to No. 6 Verdugo Hills on Friday.
