Finally Some Agreement About Cause of Fibromyalgia
Groundbreaking information about Fibromyalgia

As many of you know I got my life back last March after a lifetime of living in chronic pain from fibromyalgia. I am new again. If it weren’t for the fact that I am reaching out to people so they can find the same relief I did, I would have almost forgotten that I had ever been so incredibly ill. This freedom from pain was unfathomable until a little more than a year ago.
There seems to be virtually no agreement, until recently (in my experience) about what causes Fibromyalgia or what it is; doctors are mystified and many internists admittedly run from new patients who say they have it.
Some believe it is a disease of the connective tissues. Others, it is an autoimmune disease. (Once you have Fibromyalgia it is so easy to get other illnesses; it takes longer to heal from injury or surgery.) Most doctors seem to agree that “no two cases are the same." What they say to their patients is often simply, “I don't know what to tell you....Maybe we should change your meds around again". Can you imagine?

In 2008, a week before I was actually diagnosed, I was at a bookstore with my husband and I began to look for books about fibromyalgia. (I had already suspected, after doing a bit of online research, that that’s indeed what was wrong with me.) One book stated that some experts believe that it is emotional trauma, prolonged periods of extreme stress, or PTSD that triggers Fibromyalgia.
When I read that I saw the proverbial light bulb appear and had a very big “ah ha” moment. I knew this was the truth for me. This awareness came from the depths of my soul. This made total sense. This was ME.

I recently discovered an MD who is also on a mission to educate doctors and patients about Fibromyalgia. He owns and runs a well-known clinic in Chicago. He demystifies fibromyalgia when he states in his new book that "[fibromyalgia is] a condition that baffles physicians and haunts over 200 million patients worldwide, most of whom are women whose stress-buffering systems are running on empty....."
I have been raising awareness since last year when I found the crème de la crème of experts here in Los Angeles, whose healing powers are beyond anything that can even be measured. I swear to you that without touching me, with the precision of a surgeon's scalpel, she removed every toxic emotion in my body and taught me how to deal with new ones as they come up, as they do, because this is real life after all, and it can be sometimes be messy.
The proof that the doctor in Chicago and the expert I discovered in LA are right about what is at the root cause of Fibromyalgia is that I am completely better. I have been so awestruck with my results that during this past year of great health and joy I have reached many people who are no longer suffering either. I want that for everyone.
