The California Newt: A Species of Special Concern

Temescal Gateway Park Tuesday 10/21/2014 7:30pm-9pm

The Chautauqua Series - Over the last 30 years, amphibian populations have declined globally, including the local California newt. Though this newt is quite popular, very little is known about its ecology, and how populations respond to climate change and introduced predators. This evening we’ll discuss the critical components to understanding the ecological and evolutionary importance of our local newts. Presented by Gary Bucciarelli, Ph.D. candidate at UCLA. Meet at Woodland Hall. 1.5 hours.

Free program, free parking during event.
