Dolphins Make All-League Hoops Squad

Three Palisades High boys basketball players are named to the First Team.

The 2010-11 All-Western League boys basketball team has been selected and Palisades High is well-represented. 

Three Dolphins were picked for the First Team: , and .

Donovan Johnson was named the league's most outstanding player after leading the Dolphins in scoring (15.9 points per game) and steals (2.7 per game). He and Griffin were co-captains on a team that finished second in league and made the City Section Division I semifinals.

Griffin, a 6' 1" senior point guard and one of Palisades' most accurate shooters, averaged 14.7 points and 2.2 steals per game. Osborne, a 6' 3" senior wing, led the squad with 6.1 rebounds per game and scored a season-high 22 points in a 75-65 win over L.A. University that clinched second place in league February 11.

Making the league's Second Team for the Dolphins were 6' 5" senior post player , who averaged 8.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, and 6' 7" junior wing , who averaged 8.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals.

Honorable Mention went to 6' 1" junior guard , who averaged 5.1 points and 1.5 steals per game and scored a season-best 17 points against Bishop Montgomery in the Santa Monica Tournament. 

Trevone Williams of Westchester and David Nwaba of University shared Western League Most Valuable Player honors.

The All-Western League girls basketball team will be selected Monday.
