Pacific Palisades Hosts 12th Annual LASEC Golf Classic

The Los Angeles Sports Entertainment Commission is holding its 12th annual event at the Riviera Country Club.

Now in its 12th year, the annual LA Sports Entertainment Commission Golf Classic is coming to The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades May 9.

Ticket packages range from $2500 for individuals to $9000 for teams of four. The event will include on-course caddies, a private golf cart, lunch, dinner and on-course refreshments. Players can participate in a variety of contests and get tips from PGA Pro Roger Gunn in a golf clinic.

Proceeds from the event will go back into promoting and attracting sporting events and figures to Los Angeles, according to LASEC.

The highlight of the event is a ceremony honoring two of the biggest names in sports television with the prestigious LASEC Ambassador Award of Excellence.  David Hill, chairman and CEO of FOX Sports Media Groups and Ed Goren, its vice chairman, will be honored for their accomplishments in the sports broadcasting field, said Kathy Schloessman, LASEC president.

“We are thrilled to be honoring David Hilland and Ed Goren at our event,” Schloessman said. “They have both been instrumental in the evolution of the sports broadcasting industry and they are true leaders in the world of sports media.”
