Pali Blues Soccer Begins Road Trip in Canada
Pali Blues women's soccer team plays three games in five days, beginning Wednesday in Canada.

The Pali Blues have reached the halfway point of the 2011 season and the local women's club soccer team is still undefeated heading into Wednesday night's contest against the Victoria Highlanders in British Columbia.
The Blues got one win and one tie on their first road trip in Colorado. They now head to the Pacific Northwest for three games in five days, ending with Sunday's match against the Seattle Sounders.
At 4-0-3, the Pacific Palisades-based club sits in fourth place in the W-League's Western Conference with 15 points, one behind the Colorado Rush (5-3-1). The Vancouver Whitecaps (6-1-2) are in first place with 20 points. Santa Clarita Blue Heat (6-0-1) is second with 19 points.

was selected to the W-League's Team of the Week after netting the game-winning goal--her first of the season--in the Blues' 2-1 victory over the Rush on June 11 in Littleton, Colorado.
"We were all frustrated and disappointed with the first game in Colorado (a 0-0 tied with the Force)," said. "We didn't capitalize on opportunities and we beat ourselves with unforced errors. But against the Rush, everyone who played did a great job and had a winning desire that brought us a needed victory. It was a great trip and I look forward to our next two games in my home country."

"I just think we’re getting better every game, and getting to know what we want as a team," she said. "Coach [] wants us to be a possession-oriented team and I think each game, we’ve been doing that. We’re getting better in the final third also and I think we can only go up."
