Palisadian Runners Complete Boston Marathon

History was made Monday when Kenya's  won the 115th  in two hours, three minutes and two seconds--the fastest time ever.

Despite shattering the previous best time of 2:03:59 set in 2008 by Ethiopian Haile Gebrselassie in Berlin, Mutai's effort is not officially considered a world record because the course is not considered record-eligible by the. 

Also completing the 26.2-mile course were seven Palisadians. Below is the list of local runners and their official times, in order of finish:

1. Ryan Craig, male, age 39, 3:05:19 (2,196 overall, 1,393 in division)

2. Zachary F. Treadwell, male, age 35, 3:11:41 (3,291 overall, 1,961 in division)

3. Romney L. Resney, female, age 42, 3:22:34 (5,583 overall, 86 in division)

4. Kenneth L. Heisz, male, age 53, 3:35:58 (9,380 overall, 794 in division)

5. John C. Morrissey, male, age 53, 3:45:26 (12,093 overall, 1,056 in division)

6. Susan K. Moon, female, age 45, 4:24:51 (19,996 overall, 1,278 in division)

7. Claudia M. Campos, female, age 49, 4:44:11 (21,664 overall, 1,444 in division)

, who grew up in Pacific Palisades and was an All-City cross country and track runner at Palisades High, was not among this year's elite field in Boston, where he has run some of his best distance races. He was 10th in 2005 in 2:17:32, seventh in 2006 in 2:12:45 and eighth in 2007 in 2:16:41.  

Gilmore, 33, lives and trains in San Mateo. He has won his hometown eight times, setting the course record of 14:10 in 2003.
