Coroners Name Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Desert Hot Springs
The elderly man died at the hospital following the incident, according to coroner's officials.

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA - Authorities Thursday released the name of a 75- year-old pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car while crossing a Desert Hot Springs street.
Ronald Blumkin of Desert Hot Springs was not in a crosswalk when he was struck around 6 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Palm and Ironwood drives, according to Deputy Chief Jim Henson.
Blumkin died at a hospital.

Police said the driver did not leave the scene and was cooperative with officers. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, according to investigators.
