Cain, the department's first female motor officer, sergeant, lieutenant, captain and acting chief, is being praised by PSPD for her leadership, mentorship, and impact on the community.
   

• Kiwanis Club Of Palm Springs To Host CleanUp Day In Desert Hot Springs (patch.com) — A Palm Springs-based Kiwanis Club is helping lead a major trash cleanup in nearby Desert Hot Springs on Saturday, Sept. 19, along North Indian Canyon Drive near Mission Creek. Local volunteers can join regional partners to remove illegal dumping, protect desert headwaters, and support wildlife habitat, all while celebrating National CleanUp Day with an all-day effort.
