• Butte County vets: Habitat for Humanity wants your help Sept. 12 (actionnewsnow.com) — Local veterans are invited to join Habitat for Humanity's R.E.D. Day of Service on Sept. 12, with a small construction crew helping build homes in either Chico or Paradise. The free event honors service members, includes lunch, and continues Habitat's long-running work with families in Paradise recovering since the Camp Fire. Space is limited and registration is required online.
