Driver Killed In Collision Near Petaluma ID'd
The accident was Friday afternoon on Adobe Road.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified a driver who died in a head-on collision near Petaluma on Friday as 31-year-old Brendon Ross Barraclough of Rancho Cordova.
Barraclough was driving a 2001 Chevrolet TrailBlazer east on Adobe Road between Frates and Casa Grande roads in unincorporated Sonoma County around 3:45 p.m. Friday, California Highway Patrol Officer Jon Sloat said.
Eastbound traffic on Adobe Road slowed to a stop just east of Casa Grande Road and Barraclough abruptly turned into the westbound lane and passed traffic at 60 mph, Sloat said.

A 49-year-old Santa Rosa man was driving a 2013 Kenworth three-axle tractor pulling a tank trailer west on Adobe Road and slowed down and pulled to the right when he saw the approaching TrailBlazer. The
TrailBlazer continued driving head-on into the front of the tractor-trailer, according to Sloat.
Barraclough was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:59 p.m., and the big-rig driver was not injured, Sloat said.
