Flooding Closes Multiple Petaluma Roadways
"Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses."

PETALUMA, CA — Authorities with the Petaluma Police Department Wednesday morning advised motorists that because of flooding and other hazards, Lakeville Highway is closed near Pineview Avenue and Stony Point Road is closed between Petaluma Boulevard North and Pepper Road.
Petaluma police and city public works crews are on scene, police said via a Nixle alert at about 11 a.m.
"Do not attempt to drive or travel through flooded areas," police said.

"Currently there is minor roadway flooding, a traffic collision being investigated and roadway hazards due to the wind on Lakeville Hwy, near Pineview Avenue," police said. "Motorists are asked to slow down, make sure to use headlights and windshield wipers and watch for standing water in the area."
The flooded Petaluma roadways come as Sonoma County remains under a National Weather Service flood warning until 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.
