• More Than 1,000 Vehicles Put Through Petaluma DUI Checkpoint (patch.com) — Petaluma police stopped more than 1,000 vehicles at a DUI checkpoint on Petaluma Boulevard North near Gossage Avenue, resulting in two suspected DUI arrests and one arrest for violating a protection order. Officers also cited 14 drivers for driving without a valid license or with suspended or revoked licenses, underscoring ongoing enforcement in areas linked to impaired-driving crashes.

• Sonoma County Library buys large Petaluma office building for new headquarters (pressdemocrat.com) — Sonoma County Library has purchased a large office building at 1400 N. McDowell Blvd. to move its headquarters and about 96 employees into Petaluma by fall 2027. The $12.78 million project should help fill long-vacant office space, shift more county operations south, and slightly ease the city's high commercial vacancy rate while centralizing library administration.
