Sketch Released, Reward Offered For Sex Assault Suspect In North Bay

BREAKING: The victim was attacked last month near Santa Rosa HIgh School.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – Santa Rosa police released a sketch Tuesday of a man suspected of sexually assaulting a female victim on Mendocino Avenue in October.

The attack on Oct. 15 around 10:15 p.m. near Ridgway Avenue was very brief and the victim was able to defend herself and escape, police Sgt. Terry Anderson said.

The suspect ran toward Nason Street and the victim called police on her cell phone.

The suspect is described as a slender Hispanic man in his early 20s with dark skin and short dark hair. He is approximately 5 feet 8 inches in height, police said.

The suspect had some facial hair, possibly a goatee and mustache, and several dark moles or other raised markings on his left upper cheek. He was wearing a light color shirt and dark color pants.

The Sonoma County Alliance has offered a reward up to $2,500 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
