Some Schools, Roads Closed In Sonoma County As Storm Floods Area
A flood warning remained in effect Thursday for the Russian River near Guerneville.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Four school districts in Sonoma County are closed Thursday because
of flooding and storm-related issues. The closures include the Geyserville and Guerneville districts, the Dunham Elementary School District in Petaluma and the Alexander Valley Union School District near Healdsburg.
South Fitch Mountain Road near Healdsburg city limits is closed due to several slides, and Alexander Valley Road near Healdsburg is closed because of flooding.
Stony Point Road at Pepper Road near Petaluma and Lytton Station Road near Geyserville are also closed because of flooding, as is Rohnert Park Expressway between Stony Point and Food Maxx.

A flood warning remained in effect Thursday for the Russian River at Johnsons Beach near Guerneville.
According to the National Weather Service San Francisco Bay Area, a flood advisory was also in effect Thursday for urban and small streams in southeastern Sonoma County.

According to the NWS:
*At 727 AM PST, reporting gauges indicate water rises and ongoing flooding of many creeks across region, especially near Highway 12. These creeks include Sonoma Creek, and other small streams draining into the main stem rivers. While rainfall has diminished over the region, runoff and any additional rainfall forecast through the day will result in continued flooding across the region.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...Boyes Hot Springs, Eldridge, El Verano, Glen Ellen and Fetters Hot Springs-Agua Caliente.
