• PRD to host free sports demo nights for girls+ in October (piedmontexedra.com) — Piedmont families with girls ages 6–16 can still sign up for two free October "Try (it) Out Tuesdays" sports demo nights at Linda Beach Playfield, featuring rotating sports and on-site food trucks. Hosted by the Piedmont Recreation Department, these evenings support girls' athletics, connect families with coaches, and tie into broader local initiatives like Play Like a Girl+ and Title IX-focused programs.
