Stretch Of La Salle Ave. Closed All Week In Piedmont
The closure will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. as crews repair a property that suffered a landslide a few years ago, officials said.

PIEDMONT, CA – A portion of La Salle Avenue in Piedmont will be closed this week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. as construction work is underway to repair a private property that was the site of a landslide several years ago, Alameda County officials said.
The La Salle closure will be between Crest and Hampton roads, and traffic will be detoured onto Crest. Residents who live on the closed block will be able to access their homes, but through traffic will not be allowed, the county said, adding that if the work is completed in a shorter amount of time, the road will be opened early.
Additional closures also may occur over the next few weeks as the remediation project continues, officials said.
