Hercules Man Arrested For Domestic Violence

Police say he grabbed the woman by the neck, shoved her against the wall and threatened to kill her.

HERCULES, CA — Police in Hercules on Tuesday arrested a man in connection with a domestic violence incident.

Officers with the Hercules Police Department responded Tuesday at 7:52 a.m. to the 100 block of Ben Lomond on a report of a fight between a man and a woman.

Police said the man had left the area in a vehicle by the time they had arrived, but during earlier the altercation, he had thrown a glass candleholder that hit the victim in the head, grabbed her by the neck and
shoved her against the wall and threatened to kill her.

An officer later located the suspect's vehicle in the area of 3600 San Pablo Avenue, and the man was taken into custody on suspicion of domestic battery, assault with a deadly weapon and making criminal threats, police
said.
