The USA Spirit Nationals cheer competition was held in Anaheim last weekend.
Announcement, photos submitted by Pinole Valley High:
The Pinole Valley High Spartan cheer squad took 10th place at the USA Spirit Nationals cheer competition this past weekend in Anaheim. The top-10 finish represents the best results the school has had in over a decade.
The team, coached by Veronica Saephan, just kept improving as the year went on, and the results from the prestigious national event shows how much better the girls have gotten. The Spartan squad competed in the category of small school novice division, and had one opportunity to show off their routine, a spirited rendition of Welcome to the Jungle.
