Supe Announces Number for Former Doctors Medical Center Patients Seeking Medical Records
Here's how you can reach someone to help you get your medical records.

Former patients of the now-shuttered Doctors Medical Center needing to obtain medical records have a new number they can call, a county supervisor announced Wednesday. Tuesday’s closure of the safety-net hospital marked the end of a more than 60-year run for the facility, which was voted into existence in 1948.
It closed after decades of financial troubles that left the hospital with an annual budget deficit of $18 million to $20 million, officials said. Former patients who need copies of medical records can call (510) 970-5159 and will be told when to pick up the records free of charge, according to county Supervisor John Gioia’s office.
