Augustin Bernal Park Reopens, ACE Train Service Resumes
The Pleasanton park reopened Monday, but visitors are warned to pay close attention to mud and debris.

PLEASANTON, CA — Augustin Bernal Park reopened Friday following nearly three weeks of closure, the City of Pleasanton announced. Visitors are advised that portions of trails remain muddy and full of debris, so they should exercise caution. Intermittent closures may continue over the next several months as repairs continue, the city said.
A number of regional parks and trails remain closed, including Del Valle Regional Park, Sunol Wilderness Regional Preserve, Ohlone Wilderness, and Anthony Chabot Regional Park. See here for a list of updated closures.
On Friday, Niles Canyon Road reopened between Fremont and Sunol following several closures and reopenings due to mudslides and landslides. On Monday, ACE trains resumed normal operations between San Jose and Stockton. ACE suspended service last Wednesday after hundreds of passengers were stalled when a train got stuck on muddy tracks near Sunol two days in a row.
