BREAKING: Pleasanton Man Dies While Visiting Grand Canyon
Officials with the National Parks Service said CPR was in progress and an AED was in use when rangers arrived.

An elderly Pleasanton man died on May 24 while visiting the Grand Canyon, according to officials with the National Parks Service.
A statement released by the National Parks Service said the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center received a 911 call reporting the unconscious man, who had collapsed near the Grand Canyon Visitor Center at the South Rim. Attempts to resuscitate the man failed.
Khushalbai F. Patel, 82, was visiting the park with this family when he died, according to authorities at the Grand Canyon.

Officials with the National Parks Service said investigation into the incident is being conducted by the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner.
