Caught on Camera: CHP Officer Had This Stranded Pleasanton Motorist's Back

The officer was spotted pushing the car along the road in the blazing afternoon heat.

PLEASANTON, CA — Triple digit temperatures did not deter this California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer from helping a motorist stranded on an I-680 off-ramp in Pleasanton Thursday afternoon.

Pleasanton resident Jill Hoyman spotted Officer Ken Tidwell as he pushed the woman’s car to safety.

“It was 104 degrees, a car ran out of gas and the officer was pushing her heavy SUV uphill all the way around the bend onto Bernal Avenue,” Hoyman told Patch.
