The Coop To Celebrate Grand Opening In Pleasanton

The space can be rented for creative baby showers, fundraisers and holiday parties.

PLEASANTON, CA — A new indoor party space and play area will celebrate its grand opening in Pleasanton this weekend. The Coop will offer parents and caretakers unique party options and will feature fun extras like an espresso bar and free internet access. Maira Asad, the franchise owner and a mother of three, said the space can be rented for creative baby showers, fundraisers and holiday parties. The Coop is a shoe-free facility.

An open house is planned for May 19 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. with a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony planned with the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce at 11 a.m. The Coop is located at 3059-D Hopyard Road in Pleasanton. Follow The Coop on Facebook.

Just up Interstate 680, a gourmet cupcake shop recently opened in Danville. Smallcakes: Cupcakery & Creamery will celebrated their soft opening on May 5th. They will host a grand opening event in June. The bakery specializes in not only cupcakes but also creates cupcake infused ice creams, which they make daily.

A sports bar and restaurant will soon debut in Danville. The Kick'n Mule Sports Bar and Restaurant has moved into the spot formerly occupied by the Southern Sweetwater Tavern and will feature 25 different Moscow Mules, craft beer on tap and a signature Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar.

A new ingredient-driven casual American restaurant opened in downtown Pleasanton in April. Salt Craft Eatery initially suffered a few small setbacks following their grand opening but has since reopened, according to its Facebook page. The restaurant is owned by Texas native Matt Greco, the former Executive Chef at The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards in Livermore, and features many ingredients raised or grown in the Tri-Valley area.

In nearby Livermore, locals are excited about a new steak and seafood restaurant planned for later this year. Rusty Skinner, one of the owners of Hop Devine, announced the second restaurant, according to the Livermore Downtown Association Facebook page. Creamistry, an Irvine-based chain that specializes in made-to-order, liquid nitrogen ice cream using all-natural and organic ingredients, will open a new location in early May in Blackhawk Plaza in Danville.
