Salt Craft Eatery Open In Pleasanton
The eatery is owned by Matt Greco, the former Executive Chef at The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards in Livermore.

PLEASANTON, CA â A new ingredient-driven casual American restaurant opened this week in downtown Pleasanton. Salt Craft Eatery, owned by Texas native Matt Greco, the former Executive Chef at The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards in Livermore, will feature many ingredients raised or grown in the Tri-Valley area.
Three years in the making, the seasonal menus will be driven by the principles of sustainable cooking, according to a statement from Salt Craft. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offer homemade breads, salads, entrees, desserts and breakfast pastries. Salt Craft Eatery is located at 377 Saint Mary Street in Pleasanton.
Wild One Cal Mex Grill will move in to the spot formerly occupied by High Tech Burrito. The restaurant will feature organic Mexican food. Wild One will be located at 349 Main Street. Downtown Pleasanton has had quite a few changes in the last few months. Handles Gastropub closed in late February after seven years in the historic Pleasanton Hotel.

Dean's Cafe was abruptly closed after it failed a routine health inspection on Feb. 6. It remains closed but could reopen if it passes the next inspection.
In nearby Livermore, a new steak and seafood restaurant will soon open. Rusty Skinner, one of the owners of Hop Devine, announced the second restaurant earlier this month, according to the Livermore Downtown Association Facebook page.

A new bistro-style eatery will be opening a few blocks away in Livermore. Range Life, which will be in the located in the building formerly occupied by Charlotte's Web, will feature seasonal menu items, craft cocktails, and bakery items. Range Life will be located at 2160 Railroad Avenue in Livermore.
Creamistry, an Irvine-based chain that specializes in made-to-order, liquid nitrogen ice cream using all-natural and organic ingredients, will open a new location in early May in Blackhawk Plaza in Danville.
