Drivers Warned of Standing Water, Flooding in Tri-Valley

BREAKING: Officials urge drivers to avoid driving through flooded areas.

DANVILLE, CA — Officials in Tri-Valley have issued reminders to commuters to be cautious when driving on wet roads and ask drivers to avoid driving through flooded streets. In Pleasanton, police reported several areas of flooding throughout the city Tuesday morning and sections of Foothill Road have mud and debris on the roadway, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.

In Danville, town officials ask commuters to allow extra time to get to destinations until the storms pass and Crown Canyon Road has been closed due to flooding.

The National Weather Service issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Contra Costa and Alameda counties overnight and flash flood warnings have been issued for the North Bay and Santa Cruz County this morning.
