Heads Up: Traffic Jams & Noise Expected With NorCal Night Market
This Bay Area food, art & music debut event runs Friday through Sunday at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton.

PLEASANTON, CA – A traffic and noise advisory for this weekend's NorCal Night Market at the Alameda County Fairgrounds was issued today for locals by the Pleasanton Police Department.
The event, new to the Bay Area, runs Friday to Sunday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and "amplified music" is expected until about 9 p.m. each night, along with the possibility of heavy traffic, police said.
The team behind the 626 Night Market in Arcadia and the OC Night Market in Costa Mesa is hosting this inaugural NorCal Night Market featuring exotic food and drinks, games, art, craft vendors and performances on the entertainment stage, plus a DJ and dance floor. Admission is $5 at the door (children 3 and younger are free) and parking is $10.

The events, modeled after traditional Asian markets, are popular in Southern California, as at Santa Anita Park, the 626 Night Markets regularly draw in about 80,000 attendees of all ages and 200-plus vendors per year.
