A pair of stakes races highlight the Oak Tree at Pleasanton card for the final Saturday of the 12-day race meet.
The $50,000 Juan Gonzalez Memorial highlights the day for thoroughbreds, with the $10,000 Jack Robinson Handicap for Quarter-Horses taking place earlier in the day.

The Gonzalez, the 9th race on the card, is a 5-1/2 furlong spring for 2-year-old fillies and is a starting point for many big barns in Northern California fir their horses’ 2-year-old campaign. Jeff Bonde’s Marquee Cat will be among the favorites. The horse does have a win over the Pleasanton track in this meet, knocking off maiden foes on June 25 by over two lengths. The win was preceded by a blistering work over the track. C.C. Lopez gets the call.
Ourprincessmelanie (William E. Morey) broke her maiden June 13 at Golden Gate Fields and will break from the rail with William Antongeorgi III getting the call to ride. Morey will also saddle She’s So Vain, a horse that broke maiden by four lengths in her debut on May 30 at Golden Gate. Juan Hernandez will once again ride.
Ibelievewewillwin (John Martin) had a smashing debut on May 15 at Golden Gate, winning by over 5-lengths and retains Russell Baze for the race.
Stays in Vegas (Jerry Hollendorfer) is a first-time starter after a series of strong works at GGF. Ricky Gonzales takes the ride for one of the top barns in the state.
Sambamzajammin ships up from Southern California after finishing in the top three in all three starts at Santa Anita. Her most recent start was a third place finish in the $125,000 Landaluce on June 21. Iggy Puglisi will make the trip north with the horse to ride for trainer John Brocklebank.
JACK ROBINSON HANDICAP
The Quarter-Horse race is set for the 3rd race of the day and will be run at 350 yards.
Carvers Cold may be the one to beat as the horse has been running well in a series of better races at Los Alamitos in Southern California.
