Over 300 Volunteers Help Clean Up Sunol Glen

A robust team of volunteers helped the school recover from extensive flooding damage.

SUNOL, CA — Roughly 325 volunteers spent Sunday cleaning up the flooded grounds of Sunol Glen Elementary School. The volunteers were able to repair the school’s fenceline, clear debris from the playground, and clear up a large mess made around the school garden, among other improvements. “Truly amazing – the before and after photos tell the story of A LOT of hard work and effort!” Sunol Glen Principal and Superintendent Molleen Barnes wrote in a letter. “I am just, well, not speechless – but close! I feel incredibly humbled and overwhelmed by how our community came together and by the amount of support we received.”

The Three Valleys Foundation has also launched the Sunol Relief and Recovery Fund to help Sunol Glen recover from its immense storm damage.
