• Two new principals among Pleasanton Unified administrative changes (pleasantonweekly.com) — Pleasanton Unified is starting the new school year with 15 new principals, vice principals, and directors stepping into key roles across local campuses and departments. Hart Middle and Vintage Hills Elementary have new principals, while several elementary, middle, and high schools gain new vice principals and district leaders overseeing nutrition, secondary education, special education, and student services for Pleasanton families.
   

• Previously deported British citizen sentenced after illegal reentry and multiple alias arrests (fox61.com) — Federal authorities say a previously deported British citizen with multiple aliases was arrested in Pleasanton earlier this year on a Connecticut warrant tied to alleged contractor fraud. He has now been sentenced in Hartford for illegal reentry to the U.S., while several state cases in Connecticut and other states remain pending as investigators track his alleged multi-state activities.
