Pleasanton Brush Fire Burned 20 Acres, Officials Say
Smoke from the fire could be seen throughout Tri-Valley and Castro Valley. [Breaking.]
PLEASANTON, CA — Heavy equipment that hit a rock sparked a fire that burned about 20 acres in Pleasanton Sunday evening, fire officials said. The blaze started at about 4:30 p.m. in the area of Dublin Ranch and Schaefer Ranch roads.
Alameda County Fire, Cal Fire and East Bay Regional Parks District Fire responded to assist with the firefighting efforts. Fire crews brought in air support and bulldozer to help contain the blaze. Smoke from the fire could be seen all over Tri-Valley and Castro Valley.
No one was injured during the fire.
