Pleasanton Police Help Capture Livermore Shooting Suspect

Police tracked the suspect to Richmond.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore Police have announced the arrest of the second suspect in a shooting that took place on Arroyo Trail earlier this month.

The shooting was reported in the 1000 block of Murrieta Boulevard at about 1:15in the afternoon on August 2.

Police said from the outset that it was not a random crime and quickly announced the names of two suspects.
Fernando Cruz-Armenta was arrested on August 3 for attempted homicide, but the second suspect remained at large.

On Thursday, Aug. 18, they caught up with Raul Bonnie Alcala. Officers from both the Livermore Police Department and Pleasanton Police Department found him in Richmond where he was arrested for attempted homicide for the Arroyo shooting, plus two unrelated robbery warrants.
