Pleasanton Police Welcomes New Officers
Muriel Dutch and Qais Habib were sworn in as police officers on Wednesday.

The City of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Police Department are excited to welcome two new police officers. Officers Muriel Dutch and Qais Habib were sworn in on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 and begin their service to the Pleasanton community. Competing in a very challenging selection process, these officers participated in multiple interviews, medical and psychological examinations, and an in-depth background investigation. The background process to assess these new officers revealed stellar work histories and solid communication skills.
Officers Dutch and Habib bring a variety of work and life experiences and a diversity of job knowledge that will be a significant gain for the City of Pleasanton. These new hires replace positions vacated through service retirements during the past year.

The new officers will undergo a sixteen-week field training process before being assigned to patrol Pleasanton as solo officers.
