Police Arrest 4 Suspects in Connection with Pleasanton Shooting, Threats

The suspects were found in Livermore, according to police officials.

Four suspects have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and criminal conspiracy for a shooting inside an apartment complex in Pleasanton on Tuesday morning, police said today. Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of East Gate Way at 9:55 a.m. Tuesday in response to report that shots had been fired inside the Kensington Apartment complex.

Police said 19-year-old Nicole Thompson and 20-year-old Joseph Mauck, both of Pleasanton, told officers that they were shot at by one suspect and threatened by three other suspects who were carrying baseball bats. However, the victims were able to run away from the suspects and weren’t injured. One of the suspects shattered the rear window of Thompson’s vehicle with a baseball bat and the suspects fled in a silver Infinity, police said.

At 10:21 a.m. on Tuesday, less than half an hour after Pleasanton police responded to the shooting, the Livermore police officers located and stopped the Infinity in their city, according to police.

The occupants of the vehicle were 21-year-old Angela Ross of Livermore, 22-year-old Alexander Ferguson of Tracy and 22-year-old Alberto Vaca of Livermore, police said. They said Ross was Mauck’s ex-girlfriend. Pleasanton police said witnesses identified Ross, Ferguson, and Vaca as the suspects so they were arrested and taken to police headquarters for questioning. But they said a fourth suspect, Andres Medina Camacho, 22, of Livermore, was still outstanding.

Police said their investigation determined that Camacho was the suspect who fired at the victims inside the Kensington Apartment complex. They said Vaca and Ferguson admitted to threatening the victims with baseball bats and Vaca admitted to shattering the rear window of Thompson’s vehicle with a baseball bat.

Police said Ross admitted that she orchestrated getting the male suspects together and driving them to the scene in retaliation for an ongoing dispute she had with the victims. Camacho was arrested without incident at his home in Livermore early this morning by Pleasanton police detectives and the East Alameda County tactical team, police said.

All four suspects are being held without bail at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin. Ross, Ferguson and Vaca are scheduled to be arraigned in Alameda County Superior Court in Pleasanton on Thursday afternoon and Camacho is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday morning.

Pleasanton police said anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have information about it should call them at (925) 931-5100.
