Police ID Young Man Killed In Pleasanton Stabbing
Police believe he may have been killed after an altercation related to drug sales.
PLEASANTON, CA — The Pleasanton Police Department has identified Jackson Reese Butler, 19, of Pleasanton as the man killed in Wednesday night's stabbing.
Butler was found suffering from multiple stab wounds around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of the Hyatt House Hotel at 4545 Chabot Drive, where he was staying at the time. He later died in the hospital.
Police say they haven't confirmed anything, but are now investigating the possibility that Butler was stabbed in an altercation related to drug sales after he went into the parking lot to meet with two men.

Police have not identified the suspects, but say both are black men between the ages of 16 and 20 years old. One was of a skinny build, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing a grey beanie and black sweats. The other was of a medium build, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a round face and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
