Are you looking for a job? The Bay Area is the place to be, according to a new report by WalletHub. California added 36,200 new jobs in August with the tech sector continuing to be a shining beacon.

“WalletHub analysts compared 250 cities in the state across 16 key metrics,” the company reports. “Our data set ranges from monthly median starting salary to employment growth to housing and transportation costs.”
Palo Alto leads the way, thanks to strong numbers in several categories including a high number of job opportunities, high starting salaries and low unemployment. But there are bright spots around the Bay.
