But before we jump into Southern California’s top stories, Golden State residents should know that a SoCal city voted to pull a proposed resolution from a city council agenda that, if approved, would have sought to ban abortions in the city.
The San Clemente City Council voted 3-1 Saturday to remove a resolution from its Aug. 16 meeting that would declare San Clemente a “Sanctuary for Life” city, after hearing from mostly outraged citizens during a public comment period that lasted about two hours.
