Bryn Mawr Post Office To Be Closed
The historic location will have its operations consolidated with the Loma Linda branch that opened in the past year.
The United States Postal Service announced late Friday that the Bryn Mawr office would close for business Oct. 28.
The move is part of the Postal Service's efforts to reduce costs in the struggling economy.
“In light of historic declines in mail volume and changing customer mailing preferences, the Postal Service is looking at every aspect of our business to reduce over-capacity in retail and delivery operations while maintaining record service levels," Dallas W. Keck, San Diego district manager, said in a news release. "Every effort is being made to improve and expand access to postal services at locations that are most convenient to our customers.”
