READERS' CHOICE: St. Patrick's Day Celebrations

The annual observance featuring all things green comes this Saturday. Tell us where to go and enjoy yourself (in moderation, of course).

Saturday is going to be a busy night for bars -- and the police -- as revelers hit the scene to observe St. Patrick's Day.

The annual celebration of all things green and Irish is always a busy one for night spots -- especially the Royal Falconer in downtown Redlands. The English pub should be packed wall-to-wall all day.

But we're sure there are plenty of other places in the area you can go if you're looking to celebrate. Places like the Boiler Room or the Tartan are likely going to be decked out for the celebration, too.

As part of our weekly Best of Patch series, we're looking for your thoughts on where best to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. And since Loma Linda isn't a hot bed for bars or alcohol consumption, feel free to give us suggestions from around the area.

For example, if you're up for a drive, you can head to Ontario to help out a great cause. The Ontario Fire Department will be having its annual Tip-A-Firefighter event, benefiting Steven's Hope -- a charity that provides housing for families of children seeking treatment at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. That event will be at the El Torito, 3680 Inland Empire Blvd.
