Car-To-Car Shooting Leads To Arrest Of Redondo Beach Man
A Redondo Beach man was arrested in connection to a car-to-car shooting that hospitalized one man in Long Beach, authorities said.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — A Redondo Beach man was arrested in connection to a car-to-car shooting that hospitalized one man in Long Beach, authorities said.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers received a report of a shooting in West Long Beach at about 8 p.m. on Sunday. When LBPD arrived they found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound in his upper body.
Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment, authorities said.

Preliminary investigation results revealed that the victim was driving southbound on Santa Fe Avenue when another vehicle driven by an unknown man approached. According to officers, a brief argument ensued between both drivers before the suspect shot at the victim's vehicle.
A short while later, officers conducted a traffic stop on a car that matched the suspect description and identified 24-year-old Redondo Beach resident Leon Shillingford as the suspect. Shillingford was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a parole violation, LBPD said.

Shillingford was booked into Long Beach City Jail and his bail was set at $1 million.
