About Creating Conversations
Creating Conversations is a partner of Mysterious Galaxy, an independent bookstore which has been serving Southern California for over 25 years. Creating Conversations was formed to serve the community in a variety of ways beyond the storefront business.
Creating Conversations is owned and operated by Terry Gilman, also managing partner of Mysterious Galaxy. She has spent over 20 years developing programs and events that bring readers and authors together. With her long-established relationship with all the major book publishers, she is able to match authors or books with the needs and goals of each organization. Her work on behalf of Mysterious Galaxy and her community earned Gilman the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Heart and Soul Award in 2010, and in 2009 she was named a Friend of the Los Angeles’ WriteGirl for promoting and supporting this exceptional mentoring program.
The staff of Creating Conversations includes experienced book sellers and event planners who are available to support your organization’s goals with custom-designed programs that will introduce authors, publishing experts, and books to your community, business, or school.
