• Beach Warnings Issued as Heat Wave Approaches (iheart.com) — Health officials are warning Redondo Beach residents to stay out of the ocean near the pier, Sapphire Street, and Avenue I because bacteria levels exceed state standards as a heat wave begins. Several other LA County beaches are also affected, while some Venice and Santa Monica sites have been cleared. Residents can check an online map or hotline for updated conditions.
